In Bulgaria, conversations on taboo topics, such as women’s reproductive health, are extremely difficult, at times even impossible, because of shame, prejudice, ignorance and generational lack of knowledge.
Laughter and humor help us tackle tough topics and face our fears. When shared, they also bridge gaps, turning pain into connection and fostering self-understanding and validation through a sense of shared experience.
Shine a light on women’s health by taking it center stage – literally. In collaboration with all-female team of writers, comedians, and producers, we created a dedicated comedy show and disguised the awareness campaign as a national stand-up tour in 7 cities. All of these paired with free consultations and health screenings for women and couples in need of support.
Because it’s much better to view health as both a conversation and an act - one of knowledge, care, and bravery that everyone should embrace.
